May says my deal or no deal amid IMF warnings and Jaguar hours cut

Politics Live, Channel 4 News, ITV Evening News, BBC News at Ten, & Newsnight 17 September 2018

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In the next few weeks the volume of uploads to all of my channels will reduce substantially. I have edited, tagged and described some 5,000 videos for my three channels over the last few years and it represents an investment of 1,000s of hours of my time (unpaid). It has now reached a point where I can no longer afford to continue incurring the opportunity cost in time and £££s that investment represents.

For the 30,000 of you who have been kind enough to subscribe to this channel, thank you for your support.

I rotate uploads between my three YouTube channels: for more like this search for: “Still Incorrigible” & “Incorrigible Forever”

May struggles with voice as she stresses 'Brexit may be lost'

The Prime Minister was supported in the Commons by her husband Philip, who was watching his wife from the public gallery, as her deal appeared on the verge of a fatal collapse despite her warning rebels that Britain may never leave the EU. Mrs May, who is losing her voice after her late night rescue mission to Strasbourg last night, said: ‘A lot of focus has been on the legal changes – but if this vote does not pass Brexit could be lost’.

Theresa May quotes the insurance meerkat in the House of Commons

The Prime Minister used the catchphrase of Compare the Market’s Aleksandr Orlov after announcing that MPs would get a chance to vote on postponing Brexit beyond March 29.
Her response to the SNP’s Westminster leader Ian Blackford did not go down with opposition politicians or watching commentators.

Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn clash over Brexit at PMQs

Shadow chancellor John McDonnell said his party is ‘highly likely’ to support an attempt by pro-EU MPs to seize control of Parliamentary business from the government, so legislation can be passed extending the Article 50 process. The endorsement puts Mrs May on track for another humiliating defeat when the plan comes before the Commons next week, as more than a dozen Tories have vowed to rebel. Trade Secretary Liam Fox warned this morning that the scheme would have a ‘calamitous’ effect on public faith in politics – suggesting no deal was preferable to postponing Brexit. Meanwhile, George Osborne has joined the attack on the government by warning that crashing out of the EU would be like playing ‘Russian roulette’ with the UK economy.
