Devil May Cry 5 is an action-adventure hack and slash video game developed and published by Capcom. It is the fifth installment of the mainline Devil May Cry series, and was released on 8 March 2019. Devil May Cry 5 received a positive reception from critics.

The gameplay features the return of Dante and Nero as playable characters, along with a new character, named “V”. The gameplay is similar to the other titles in the Devil May Cry series, focusing on fast-paced “stylish action”. The player fights off hordes of demons with a variety of attacks and weapons and receives a style-rating in combat based on a number of factors, such as move variety, the length of a combo and dodging attacks. The music in the game will change based on the player’s performance in combat.

Nero is equipped with his Red Queen sword, his Blue Rose double-barreled revolver, and an assortment of new robotic arms called Devil Breakers, with a variety of functions such as grabbing enemies from a distance or stopping time to freeze an enemy in place. Along with his signature blade Rebellion and the demonic sword Sparda, Dante was shown using two new Devil Arms, a pair of buzzsaw-like weapons that combine into a motorcycle called Cavaliere, and a set of fiery gauntlets and boots called Balrog. In addition, Dante also wield Cerberus, introduced in Devil May Cry 3. The third playable character, V, uses three demons based on enemies from the first game to fight which includes Griffon, an eagle that uses ranged lightning based attacks, Shadow, a panther that forms blades, spikes and portals out of its body, and Nightmare, a large golem which V enters a Devil Trigger-like state, which turns his hair white, to summon, which uses a combination of melee attacks and laser beams.

  1. I love that games recently have started getting super hard again but it's ok for some stuff to be easier as well. 😛 Thanks for watching and liking this video!

  2. Easiest? So you mean just beating the game or going SSS on every fight? (not just mission rank, but encounter rank). Some dads of DMC say that it is the hardest Devil May Cry to do a no damage run.

  3. For real like pretty sure they only have try the game in demon hunter mode they haven't even manage to get to dmd mode that the fucking demons literally 1 shot your ass like nothing. Specially using V because his summons aren't that powerful in that mode so I don't see why they complain about difficulty in the first place. Also pretty sure they going to come with a DLC or a free patch if things go well with Vergil and the other characters to play also the bloody palace this game sure is worth to the money.

  4. The problem is that the game comes default set to automatic mode. You really have to toggle that off or the game will just play itself and do advanced combos for u while u are mashing the attackbutton.

Dmc5 has the deepest combat system in the history of action games but most people will just scratch the surface of whats actually there.

Start with devil hunter difficulty and set atomatic mode to OFF. Now that the proper way to start playing it.

  5. People were saying the same about resident evil 2 having autosave on easier modes, I don't understand their logic if they like playing on hard that difficulty is still there. People will moan about anything these days

  6. I'm at mission 11 now and to be honest I don't had so much fun so far. I am struggling with the controls and camera directions. And even if I learn all the combos I just unlocked it does not feel fluid to me. Most of the time I constantly am thinking of how to get a better rank in this fight and how I suck. Maybe I'm just bad, but I had more fun with the other DMCs before.

  7. I’ll say dmc 4 was easier than dmc 5, this game can be far tougher if you choose not to revive you character with the orbs. Bosses are cool and tough enough to give you a challenge, on harder difficulties this game can be insanely tough. And for fuck sake stop using auto assist.

  8. I've beaten all the DMCs and I don't understand how people are saying that devil Hunter mode is easy. In DMC V Devil Hunter I've never been killed by lesser demons but all my deaths have come from later boss fights in the game. I've died about 7-8 times. Are people saying it's easy because you get so many gold orbs? If you get to the point of using gold orbs, I count that as a death each time, you just get revived on the spot. I personally feel some of these people are playing up their skills because even though I like Jake baldino and sphere Hunter, they both said the game was easy and from watching their gameplay, I wasn't impressed considering I've pulled higher ranks in the same combat scenarios of the levels they were shown playing. Or are they saying it's easy compared to the last few games? I remember having roughly the same amount of deaths playing DMC 4 SE and a few more deaths in DMC 3 like 16 or something? Still 8 deaths hardly make a game easy. All in all I think DMC V Devil Hunter is neither hard nor easy, it's balanced.

  9. So are ppl mad because of the modes that can make the game easy or do folks think the overall game is easy??? I think the game is just like the previous titles (save for DMC2) ,once you figure out the pattern of a boss ,you got it, and some bosses you can totally "cheese" sooooo….

  10. I think the reason why ppl are mad is because this series is meant to be hard like previous entries. Imagine a new dark souls game being easy af compared to 1-3

  11. I think capcom wasnt convinced this game would be financially successful, at least to there standards. They see it as a noche product. It would explain all the easy options and the microtransactions despite not being needed. Im loving it though im not a fan of vs play style, ive yet to go under half health with him but im only on mission 12!

  12. I only disagree with u on 1 point. Dark souls 3 is NOT the easiest game in the franchise, it's the hardest lol it's also my favorite as well

  13. People are gonna bitch about shit regardless o🙄🙄😒😒 if I was the devs and consumers were complaining about it being too easy I add a harder difficulty via dlc

  14. V is so fun man. And this is my favorite entry in the series! On my sexond playthrough now on Son Of Spards. It's already a lot harder. These people have to be talking about Human or Devil Hunter. Cuz even Son Of Sparda mode is a pretty good leap in difficulty. Or maybe I just suck xD

  15. As far as the allegation that V is able to stay out of harms way and all that. Yes, you can just camp it out and stay away and not risk anything. However, you can do so much more if you are in the fight taking the aggro off Shadow and Griffon so that they survive longer. You get a higher style ranking for being quick. On top of that, where's the fun in hanging back and letting them do the work?

Also Dante and Nero could hang back and shoot their guns over and over again by this same logic. The reason we don't hang back is "cuz its so much fun jaaaan"

(Let me know if you got the reference)

  16. I felt that this game was harder than 3 and 4. I played 4 on pretty much every difficulty than the 1 shot modes where you get hit once and die. I agree on V's sections though, that's easy.

  17. i can't stand this fucking annoying cringy catchphrase 'keeeeeeeeeeeeeeep dreamin!'
god i wish you would drop it! It's like Charlie's aka EmergerncyAwesome's self-highfive where he leaves himself hanging. Thank god he dropped that.

  18. Naw what turned me off of part 3 was it was basically room after room of pure action, I needed a break, with puzzles and adventure like other action games like God Of War, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta…

  19. This reminds of Guitar Hero after Through the Fire and Flames. It seemed that if songs weren't as difficult as that one, it had no business being in the game.
